Principal's Welcome

Kia ora

It is my privilege and pleasure to be Principal at Maramarua School

Kia kaha, kia ū, kia angitu - Be Strong, Be Resilient, Be Successful. This is our school vision and guides us all in the responsibility we collectively share as a learning community for our tamariki.

Ko te ahurei o te tamaiti arahia o tatou mahi. - Let the uniqueness of the child guide our work.

We aspire to create a learning culture and environment that supports our children to grow in their lives and their learning.  This is achieved through high levels of collaboration, a focus on using evidence to inform our decisions, and through explicit development of a positive school culture.

We work hard to acknowledge and celebrate the successes of our children for both in their learning and behaviour. We focus on the strategic development of our Maramarua School Learner, acknowledging the key competencies and these values:

Personal Best

Respect

Integrity

Determination

Empathy

We strive to be an inclusive community and warmly welcome parents and whanau to share the ‘learning journey’ with teachers and students. Developing a strong sense of whanau, community, and belonging is at the centre of our focus on growing partnerships. We believe that it’s essential that we all work together to help the children in the school community grow in their lives and learning.

The school is well governed by a united and supportive Board of Trustees who represent our diverse community. Our school is future focussed, which is an exciting time in the life of our school, reflecting years of hard work and focus.

We value our partnership with parents and whānau and are committed to working with you to ensure the best outcomes for our students. Please do not hesitate to make contact should you wish to find out more about the developments at Maramarua School or if you wish to discuss any matters of importance to you.
